It started with a pair of speakers from Swicegood's.
I've loved music for as long as I can remember. My parents bought me my first speakers and a mixer from Swicegood's Music in Beaumont, and the first time I mixed a track, that was it.
Over the past two decades that gift turned into a life. I've DJ'd and MC'd weddings, corporate events, and school dances across Southeast Texas, from Lumberton and Beaumont to venues tucked down county roads in Warren, Fred, and Vidor. I'm based in Lumberton, and this region is home.
What I've learned in that time is that a wedding doesn't come down to the music library. It comes down to whether the person behind the booth is paying attention: to the timeline, to the room, to the bride's mother, to the photographer trying to get the shot. The music is the easy part. Running the night well is the job.
This is still what I love doing on a Saturday. When you book DJ Rayman you get me, not a subcontractor, and you get twenty-plus years of knowing exactly what comes next.
